The aim of the Oral History and Social Memory Application and Research Center is; To unearth the history of issues, issues, religious, ethnic, ideological, economic, professional and social groups and institutions, official and informal institutions, settlements and architectural structures, commercial companies and businesses that have been consciously or unconsciously ignored in the history of modern Turkey. and thus to contribute to the historiography of modern Turkey. With the oral history studies, projects, lectures and training seminars to be carried out within the body of SÖZMER, it aims to unearth, record and archive the individual and collective lives that make up Turkey's different colors and pluralistic structure, and to build bridges between past, present and future histories and memories.
